This program which is offered periodically by the Rochester Police Department gives the public insights as to how police officers operate and why they do what they do.
After class room instruction, we put civilians in situations that police officers encounter. Through the use of role players we then let students apply their knowledge, skill, and common sense in addressing various scenarios.
Discussions involve laws, equipment, training, and human dynamics when confronted with high stress situations. The program is designed to foster a better understanding of the challenges police officers face by placing students in their shoes.
