Community-Police Picnics

Each fall the Rochester Police Department hosts two to three neighborhood picnics around the Village. These neighborhoods are chosen on a rotational basis, or targeted because of an influx of criminal activity.

This program has proved most valuable through the years, as it allows citizen’s to meet the police officers who serve them. This program also fosters a trust and partnership between Village residents and the department, enabling both parties to learn how to become more effective partners in order to keep our community safer.
