*A resident from Merlin Drive contacted the police on 06/04/15, in reference to an ongoing problem she has had with an ex-family member. The complainant has received numerous threatening text messages from the suspect. Copies of the messages were obtained and a report was completed. The victim was referred to the States Attorney’s Office to seek an order of protection.
*A vehicle parked in the 400 block of Parkview Drive was damaged sometime during the evening hours on 06/04/15. The victim reported he found the driver’s side window had been shattered when he went to go to work at 7:00a.m., on 06/05/15. Damage was estimated at $200.
*A vehicle which was stopped on 06/05/15, at about 8:00p.m., resulted in the arrest of the driver, Jamale Rhone of Springfield. During the stop the officer was advised Rhone’s driver’s license was suspended.
*Dylan Blanford of Taylorville had been travelling on Route 29 on 06/06/15, at 5:30p.m. when he was stopped by an officer. Blanford was issued a citation for allegedly driving on a suspended license.
*Officers were sent to a report of a disturbance at a business in the 200 block of South Walnut on 06/13/15, at 1:00p.m. Upon their arrival they were informed by an employee of the business that 2 male subjects had come into the business and had threatened one of the other employees. She also reported the 2 male subjects were still in the parking lot. Officers located the subjects as they were preparing to leave the area. After speaking to all who were reportedly involved in the confrontation it was decided a report would be completed, but due to the circumstances no arrests would be made. However, during the investigation of the incident it was reported one of the subjects, Archiebald Doe of Springfield, had driven to the business without a valid license. Doe was cited for allegedly driving on a suspended license and operating without insurance.
*Phillip Ray of Springfield was stopped on 06/13/15, at 7:40p.m. Ray was issued citations for allegedly driving on a suspended license and operating a vehicle without insurance.
*A vehicle driven by Rachel Stark of Springfield was stopped on 06/14/15, at 6:50p.m. Stark was issued a ticket for allegedly driving while her license was suspended.
*On 06/15/15, a vehicle which was stopped resulted in the arrest of the driver, Tyronne Jackson of Springfield. The officer learned during the stop that Jackson was wanted on a warrant which had been issued by Sangamon County Authorities. He was arrested and taken to the Sangamon County Jail.
*An officer responded to a business in the 400 block of State Street on 06/21/15, at 11:30a.m., as an employee called in to report a suspicious person in the business. The complainant reported the person had been in the business for over an hour and was simply staring off into the distance. The officer made contact with the individual and learned she was going through some emotional / mental issues. He eventually contacted the adult female’s mother and made arrangements for her to pick up her daughter. She was picked up by the mother who was planning to take her daughter to the hospital for an evaluation.
*Approximately $100 worth of damage was done to the restroom of the comfort station located at West Main and Route 29. The north and east walls of the restroom had been spray painted with black paint. The damage was done sometime before 10:30p.m., on 06/21/15.
*Reginald Brooks of Springfield was stopped on 06/21/15. Brooks was cited for allegedly driving on a suspended license.
