*Several subjects who were yelling at about 1:00a.m. on 03/03/12 in the 200 block of East Main resulted in an anonymous call to dispatch. An officer was sent to the area and eventually located a male and a female who were in an argument. The two had recently returned home and had not yet made it into the residence. The parties were separated, with the male subject eventually leaving for the evening.
*A stop on a motorist for an alleged expired registration sticker resulted in the arrest of the driver for reportedly driving on a suspended license on 03/03/12. The driver, Christy Hazelwood, of Clay, Kentucky was cited for multiple violations.
*Officers were sent to a residence in the 400 block of Pleasant Lane on 03/05/12, at 2:00p.m. The victim, who was no longer at the residence, called the police and reported that her ex-boyfriend had just damaged several items which belonged to her 2 year old daughter. A report reference the incident was taken and forwarded to the Sangamon County State’s Attorney’s Office.
*An officer was sent to a residence in the 100 block of Allegheny on 03/07/12, at about 1:30a.m. in reference to a reported disturbance. The officer arrived and found that the married couple had been arguing and one of the parties became concerned and called the police. The situation was resolved for the evening as one of the subjects decided to go stay elsewhere for the evening.
*An officer received a telephone call at the police department on 03/22/12, at about 12:30p.m in regards to an issue involving some young children. The caller reported he was concerned for the safety of two young children who were living with their father in the 500 block of Mill Street. The officer collected information from the caller and from several other sources. Contact with the Department of Children and Family Services was made and they then followed-up with their investigation.
*On 04/04/12, a vehicle driven by Rusty Easley of Springfield was stopped. Rusty was allegedly driving on a suspended license.
*A vehicle driven by Samantha Overton of Taylorville was stopped on 04/13/12 at about 11:00a.m. It was reported that Overton had been driving while her license was suspended.
*Officers were sent to a residence in the 100 block of East Main at about 10:35p.m. on 04/14/12. The officer reported that a male and female subject had returned home from an evening of drinking and began arguing. When the male subject decided it was early and he wanted to go back to the bar, the female became further enraged. She eventually called the police. Officers arrived and spoke with both parties who decided to part ways for the evening.
*Rhonda Rouse, of Adair, was stopped on 04/18/12, at about 9:30a.m. It was discovered that Rouse’s driving privileges had been suspended since 2005. She was ticketed for the alleged violation.
*On 04/23/12, at about 10:35a.m. a vehicle being driven by Bradley Spent of Oreana was stopped. Spent was allegedly driving on a suspended license. When Spent’s wife, Candice, came to pick up her husband the officer discovered that she was wanted on a warrant which had been issued by Effingham County Authorities. She was taken to the Sangamon County Jail and released to them.
